It's a don't miss - authentic, generous portions, great menu that makes what they make, lots of available beer and drinks. Definitely getting your money's worth here, and I'd come here instead of most places. Skip the boardwalk, come to Gringo's. 5/2025 - came again, for dinner -place was full and waited 7 min for a table. 100% worth it. 40 for family of 3 and very very happy. Chimichanga was great, fish tacos for the win.

Really awesome place close to but off the boardwalk. Huge portions of very tasty food. It was affordable as it was and they were having a special 2 off burritos on top of that. Ample parking, service prompt and friendly. It's a small, mom/pop type of place. Comfortable/casual vibes. No blaring loud music.

This is a must try place to get tacos!!! Every taco I have had has been amazing. Everything tastes fresh and if you get there when it first opens you should easily be able to be seated but the restaurant is small so plan accordingly (some would say very small) but it is soooo worth the wait if you have one. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, they seem to truly appreciate you being there supporting the business. The food does take a little longer than other places at times when they are busy but again this establishment makes it worth the wait. The Baja fish and shrimp tacos are my favorite but I wouldn’t be upset about trying others if seafood isn’t your thing (I have tried most and they all are great). I was honestly very surprised with the mahi/mushroom taco, it’s not a combo in my mind would pair well but again it was a pleasant surprise when I tasted it, I will definitely order it again. I could see parking being an issue on busy days just because of the location but if you are okay with walking a little you should be fine.

Absolutely loved this restaurant that was recommended by a local. Best margarita I’ve ever had! The food was flavourful and delicious. The service was so kind and fast. Definitely recommend!

I ordered some food to go, but the place looked fun. The staff was amazingly friendly. The Yubi burrito was delicious. The chips were okay, but the salsa was que bueno. I would for sure return. I would like to try the tacos, but I don’t know if they’d be as filling as that burrito was. Oof, I’m stuffed!

Okay wow, I have lived near this place for 3 years and never gave it a chance because of my specialized diet, I was craving guacamole sooo bad so I checked out their website and saw they had veggie tacos. I ordered two tacos and the chips guac. Yo, this food was BOMB. Best veggie tacos I’ve ever had. I mean that. So much flavor and not the same 3 vegetables and seasonings as everywhere else. Don’t sleep on this place! The is worth it!!! Yum yum yum! Thank you!!!

I ordered the carna asada taco and it was SO good. Best tacos that I ever ate. If you are in the Virginia Beach area don't waste your time with other places come here and get ready to be shook. My wife ate the pineapple chicken burrito and she said it was amazing.

Soo good! I feel like we found the hidden gem of V.B.! We literally ate here 3 times this week. Tacos are amazing, burrito is absolutely stuffed and delicious. Everyone that works there is absolutely lovely as well!
